School Backpack Program
Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services is committed to providing quality filled backpacks to area children, K-12th grade, who may otherwise go without. These great packs are stuffed with a bounty of fresh new school supplies including all the essentials for a positive start to the school year. Over 700 backpack requests are expected.
To accommodate these needs, MVFB&ES invites you to participate!
- Sign up to volunteer for this special program
- Click here to download our shopping list and collection site information or pick up a flyer as listed below
- Fill a bag with your generous donation and return it to a collection site between July 20 - August 22nd, 2010.
- Make a monetary donation to help purchase wholesale backpacks and supplies. Please make checks out to “MVFB&ES”, and note “school supplies” in the memo field. Mail to MVFB&ES, PO Box 322, MV, WA 98038

How to Receive Backpacks filled with school supplies:
- Pre-registration at MVFB&ES is required
- Register August 2 – August 19, 2010 during food bank hours OR
- Evening Registration July 8 and August 12 5:30 - 7:00 pm
- Filled backpacks will be distributed on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 24 and 25, 2010 by appointment only.
