Dear shoppers,
Due to a significant increase in households utilizing the Maple Valley Food Bank, we will be reducing the food allocated per household. All shoppers will see a reduction in the number of proteins, grains, miscellaneous items, vegetables, soup, and fruit.
For those living within Maple Valley, Black Diamond, and the Tahoma School District, we will be able to continue to provide milk and eggs weekly as well as an increased number of food based on family size. For those living outside of these areas, we will only be able to provide our general shop without milk and eggs. We also will not allow those living outside of our service area to have people not living in their household shop for them.
We understand that this adjustment can be challenging for families utilizing the food bank and we do not make this decision lightly. We hope that by shopping at the food bank, we can continue to aid in bridging the gap for you and your family.
Sincerely,
Jon Cantalini
Executive Director, Maple Valley Food Bank
